The South African National Energy Association (SANEA), a member of the World Energy Council has embarked on a process to unpack the energy risks facing South Africa at a country and industry level, culminating in the publication of SANEA’s first Energy Risk Report for South Africa 2018 in late February 2018.
The report ranks the top 20 risks related to the energy sector and identifies the top 5 risks at a country and industry level. It contains detailed risk analyses and expert write ups on the different risks. The report aims to identify key focal points for action that will address the risk of unreliable, unaffordable energy supply for the country and ensure that the optimal mixes of technology and fuel supply are pursued.
SANEA and its partnering sponsors of the report will be hosting an EXECUTIVE BREAKFAST ENCOUNTER ON 21 JUNE 2018 where a panel of senior industry C Suite Leaders will deliberate their "Strategic Perspectives on Energy Risk" with focus on the unfolding of energy risks in the evolution of the energy industry.
Brian Dames - Chief Executive Officer, African Rainbow Enegry and Power
Phakamani Hadebe - Group Executive, Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd
